A HARVEST OF HEALING

From the Temple Waters

Introduction:

We are in A season of "Demonstration over Communication."

We are at war. "Lethargy against Action ."

The visitation of God will be equal to the invitation we extend

 

Text:  Ezekiel 47:1-12

Several symbols permeate this vision...

Flowing Water... is Holy Spirit ... Sea is multitude... marsh & swamp is death & decay

Trees... Mature Christians... Psalm 1

Fruit... Character, attributes, influence, joy, results of Christ-life... Gal 5

Leaves... Constant evidence of Christ-life, comfort, encouragement & healing... Psalm 1 & Revelation 22

 

One:  Healing From The Temple Waters… That Are Flowing

Ezekiel 47:1-2…

Temple Waters flowing out as from the Saviors side… Temple & Door

Temple Waters flowing through the ages to a place of in  gathering at the sea

Temple Waters flowing in personal and global revelation of God’s will for man

Temple Waters cannot be contained in Solomon’s brazen sea…

Temple Waters flow east to the rising sun… Toward our Risen Lord

 

Two:  Healing From The Temple Waters… That Are Being Measured

Ezekiel 47:3-5… 

Temple Waters Measured… Ankle deep

A real but shallow experience

Ezekiel 47:4a… 

Temple Waters Measured… Knee deep

A sign of spiritual progress… but still wading around in the shallows

Ezekiel 47:4b…

Temple Waters Measured… Waist deep

Serious enough to be affected by the power of the water’s current

Still shallow enough to depend partially on your own footing

Ezekiel 47:5…

Temple Waters Measured… Too deep

Too deep for depending on human footing… one must learn to swim

Too deep to cross… the stream is a full flowing river

This Temple Water begins with a drip & ends in a river flowing in experience,

revelation, ministry, gifts & eternal Life!

 

Three:  Healing From The Temple Waters… Feeding The Trees Healing The Sea

Ezekiel 47:6-9… 

Temple Waters… Healing Waters for the soul of men through the Gospel of Jesus Christ…

Coming out from His Temple {Church}

Temple Waters… Life Giving Waters… The Message of Salvation & Healing

Temple Waters… Sustenance for the multitude…

Philippians 4:19… Our God shall supply all your needs,...

 

Four:  Healing From The Temple Waters… Producing Fishing Waters

Ezekiel 47:10… 

Temple Waters… Provide Fishing Waters where waters were dead!

Fishermen will spread their nets… where none could be seen before!

The catch will be as large & diversified…as a great catch from the Mediterranean Sea

Every nation, people & tongue!

 

Five:  Healing From The Temple Waters… That Are Differ From Swamp Water

Ezekiel 47:11… 

Swampland may be wet… but it will not heal or give life

Swampland is not fresh, alive or flowing… it is stale, stagnant and portrays dead religion.

2 Timothy 3:5… “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof!”

 

Six:  Healing From The Temple Waters… That Supply Food & Health

Ezekiel 47:12… 

Temple waters… guarantee fruit that never fails…

Trees… typical of Psalm 1 Christians giving continuous “First-Fruit”, Psalm 1…

“First-Fruit”… God’s Word in tender manifest grace…

Abundant to pardon, forgive, restore & reconcile

Producing in men godly attributes… Fruits of the spirit, Galatians 5:22-23…

Temple Waters… guarantee medicine that always cures

“Never wilting Leaves”… God’s Word that reproves, corrects, chastises & instructs…

with a purpose to Heal!...Not as pleasant as fruit but ever so needful!

We see in this passage the history of Israel & the Church

We also see the picture of the individual’s growth in grace… moving deeper into Christ:

Wooed by the invitation of the Spirit… led through the Temple to ankle deep waters

Saved by grace… through the power of Jesus’ Cross… over the threshold into knee deep waters,

(Jesus is the Door)

Sanctified by the Spirit through the Washing of the Water of the Word… into waist deep waters

Filled with an overflow experience by the Holy Ghost… lifted buoyant by the deep waters where

man’s feet cannot touch, he must swim

Brought ashore to be witnesses in the desert places of this world

Sustained by the abundant supply that is had in Christ Jesus… fruit

Healed and Protected by His Presence… leaves that never wilt!

Encouraged in the harvest by Christian companions & co-laborers… The Fishermen on the banks

All this flowing out from the Temple…We go in, He sends us out…Go into all the Earth & make disciples.

The farther one gets from the temple the greater the power of the Spirit River!!! Hang out or “Go Out”

the choice is yours!
